With over 20 years of experience in the fire service, Division Chief Chad Crouse of St. Lucie County Fire District brings a modern perspective to the real-world integration of technology in public safety. Overseeing Community Risk Reduction, IT, Communications, and Emergency Management, he bridges practical experience with academic expertise. This includes serving as Department Chair of Fire Science Technology and Emergency Management at Palm Beach State College and as a contract instructor for the National Fire Academy’s Managing and Executive Fire Officer Programs. As chair of the IAFC Technology Council's newly formed AI Subcommittee his work centers on translating AI advancements into tangible tools that make firefighters safer and more effective.
