This class will cover the program that was developed with a major metropolitan area to shorten onboarding time from three months to two weeks. It will discuss the benefits of using simulation as a "training on purpose" model rather than training by accident. It will also discuss the ability of medical directors and service supervisors to observe the candidates in action with their stress level raised, to evaluate their skill level and the benefit of protocol orientation and equipment familiarization that occurs.
