Shoring Extreme Angles and the Six-Post Laced Shore
Monday, April 07
Students will begin with a short classroom lecture covering shoring principles then head outside to assemble both the raker and laced post shore. They will also participate in operations on the cutting table, cutting angles, measuring for those angles, and doing the calculations for the proper construction of the shores. The new six-post laced shore will be shown erected. Students will build a severely angled solid sole raker, an angled sloped floor shore, and a three-post T shore to see the proper gusset plate nailing and post spacing.
