Operationalizing Data in the Fire Service

Tuesday, April 08

This workshop is a starting place for fire officers who wish to enhance the use of data in their operational decisions and practices. The program covers data basics such as locating data through CAD, record management systems, and other operational data sources and how such data relates to GIS functions in local government. This provides a foundational understanding of data ahead of future data opportunities such as NERIS implementation. Real-world examples of data implementation show how departments can leverage their data using technology they likely already own. The workshop is a great starting point for fire departments interested in improving their operational intelligence.
