Lessons learned from Wilderness Medicine for Civilian EMS

Wednesday, April 09

This class will delve into prehospital medical providers' unique challenges in remote environments, exploring the crossover between wilderness medicine and civilian EMS. It will discuss how these unique situations can be adapted to enhance patient care in civilian EMS, starting at the basic life support level. The class will cover common environmental emergencies and care, resource-limited care, patient assessment and decision making, and the adaptation of wilderness medicine skills to improve civilian EMS patient outcomes. Real-world case studies will be used to target all levels of prehospital providers.  Join us to bridge the gap between wilderness and civilian medicine and elevate your skills to provide exceptional care in any environment!
