Do You Have What It Takes To Be a Training Officer?

Wednesday, April 09

This class is rooted in the lessons learned from working with a diverse group of training officers. It is designed for current and aspiring training officers in emergency services. The main objective is to inspire training officers to infuse passion into their program development, motivating their teams to love the job as much as they do. Departments often struggle when their training officers lack firsthand experience, leading to programs that lack substance and credibility. This class emphasizes that "faking it 'til you make it" is ineffective in developing successful training programs. Participants will learn how to value organizational culture, gain respect through credibility, and instill passion in their training.
