Aerial Device Strategy and Tactics

Tuesday, April 08

This is a wholistic approach to the standard positioning, use, and deployment of aerial devices at most standard structural fires. It covers manufacturers’ recommendations as well as industry best practices. Case studies that cover line-of-duty deaths related to the use of aerial devices will also be discussed. This class will help new and experienced firefighters and officers put aerial fireground operations into an extremely easy to use system that can be applied to all structural responses. The application of this system helps build the muscle memory that is so important and will help to elevate the operational tempo of the fireground, which is crucial for gaining the advantage at fires.
